“UN Women Executive Director Michelle Bachelet is pleased to announce that today, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon announced the appointment of Ms. Lakshmi Puri of India as Assistant Secretary-General for Intergovernmental Support and Strategic Partnerships and Mr. John Hendra of Canada as Assistant Secretary-General for Policy and Programme at UN Women. They will also serve as the two Deputies to the Executive Director.”
